Read what Paula has to say:

"I enjoy building sustainable and supportive relationships, this allows me to relate and connect with people across all walks of life, develop signposting contacts, and identify and coordinate resources to support the community I serve.  I am passionate in the belief that social prescribing has the power to offer comfort and solace, provide options and advice when people may need it the most to deal with the challenges the face. However, there are barriers across rural Ireland that prevent people from accessing this type of service. These include, a lack of public transport, which adds to rural isolation, a lack of health services in smaller communities and a lack of sport and recreational facilities within rural communities. This limits the programmes and services which service users can be referred to."
