Wendy Bond is a member of our highly regarded and valued Health and Wellbeing Community Referral Team. Wendy is currently based in the Dunmanway Family Resource Centre and supports service users in the Dunmanway, Ballineen, Enniskeane, Clonakilty and Drimoleague areas.
Wendy feels privileged to have worked in her community for many years, supporting teenagers, young adults and parents/carers with mental health difficulties, housing issues, and sexual health issues. As a relatively new team member, Wendy is excited and looking forward to supporting service users in developing their personalised health and wellbeing plan.

This is a fantastic opportunity for me to work within a service that prioritises the individual and listens to what they say they need and use this as a starting point to highlight opportunities. This service empowers the service user to act, develop confidence and find their own solutions to life challenges. Unfortunately, in a rural community like West Cork, people can become very isolated and cut off from their communities. I already see that limited transport options really exacerbates this for some, and this is going to be a challenge for my service users in accessing community events and activities. Hopefully, we can work together to highlight this and advocate for improvement in transport links across West Cork."
