Read what Wendy has to say:
"I am delighted to have started my new role as Link Worker and very excited about developing the service across my catchment area over the coming months. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to work within a service that prioritises the individual and listens to what they say they need and use this as a starting point to highlight opportunities. This service empowers the service user to act, develop confidence and find their own solutions to life challenges. Unfortunately, in a rural community like West Cork, people can become very isolated and cut off from their communities. I already see that limited transport options really exacerbates this for some, and this is going to be a challenge for my service users in accessing community events and activities. Hopefully, we can work together to highlight this and advocate for improvement in transport links across West Cork."
